Job description

The Senior Manager HR will play a leading role in implementing the strategic human resource calendar for DP World in York, PA. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate HR processes and procedures, acting as a business partner for management in all organizational and HR-related matters.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  1. Partner with site and/or functional managers and the entire site leadership team to understand organizational, staffing, and headcount needs; lead all site-based HR functions and initiatives.
  2. Recruit, train, and develop highly motivated candidates to achieve business objectives; manage third-party staffing partners for temporary/contract work.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain company policies, programs, and procedures; advise management and employees on HR policies; review and resolve HR issues.
  4. Supervise staff directly by planning, assigning, reviewing, counseling, and evaluating performance; recommend corrective actions.
  5. Manage the site HR budget, performance management, succession planning, CSR initiatives, and support audits and communication activities.
  6. Oversee HRIS systems and studies, and develop HR programs as needed.
  7. Provide guidance on labor relations, including union responsibilities such as grievances, arbitration, and negotiations.
  8. Supervise and develop other site-based HR professionals.
  9. Support the integration of HR initiatives across the site for both hourly and salaried staff.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business, or a related field.
  • Experience performing professional HR duties, preferably within a 3PL logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, local employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
