Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, a leader in space technology, seeks an experienced Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis to oversee SEC filings, technical accounting research, and ICFR controls. You will partner with external auditors and internal teams to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements.

The role requires 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience in a public company, with strong leadership and communication skills across finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification required or actively pursuing licensure.
• Public company accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy, registration statements).
• Oversee XBRL tagging and coordination with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain ICFR controls in line with SOX requirements.
• Provide technical accounting analysis for ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, and other topics.
• Prepare memoranda on complex accounting issues and evaluate new standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
