Company Overview

ABOUT FIREFLY AEROSPACE Firefly Aerospace is a space and defense technology company that enables our world to launch, land, and operate in space – anywhere, anytime. As the partner of choice for critical space missions, Firefly is the only commercial company to launch a satellite to orbit with 24-hour notice and the only company to achieve a successful Moon landing. Our launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles provide government and commercial customers with full mission services from low Earth orbit to the Moon and beyond. Headquartered in north Austin, Texas, Firefly is looking for passionate, hardworking innovators to join our team and help fuel our successful trajectory into space.

Summary

Firefly is seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis to support the company's growing SEC reporting, technical accounting, SOX compliance, and special projects team. The ideal candidate combines deep technical accounting expertise with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, public company environment. This role will report to the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis.

Responsibilities

SEC Reporting Lead the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, registration statements, and other required filings. Ensure all filings are accurate, complete, and submitted in compliance with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and company policies. Manage the quarterly and annual reporting calendar, coordinating cross-functional inputs and review cycles. Oversee XBRL tagging and review processes. Evaluate and implement new accounting standards and pronouncements, assessing their impact on the company's financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors on technical accounting matters and audit inquiries.

SOX Controls Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Partner with internal and external auditors to support SOX audit activities and ensure timely resolution of findings. Drive continuous improvement of the internal control environment across the organization.

Financial Reporting Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages. Provide insightful variance analyses and financial commentary to leadership and stakeholders. Establish, maintain, and improve accounting policies and procedures.

Special Projects & Collaboration Lead and manage special projects, including system implementations, process improvements, transaction due diligence, and integration activities. Collaborate with FP&A, operations, legal, and other non-finance business units to ensure accurate and timely financial information and to drive process improvements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Support interactions with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.

Team Leadership Contribute to the mentoring and development of team members within the financial reporting and accounting group. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the team. May supervise direct reports as the team evolves and grows.
