Firefly Aerospace, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to lead cost and inventory accounting within the accounting team.

You will support month-end close, budgeting, and financial planning, and work with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to understand costs and improve profitability. The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/R&D accounting, a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing and/or R&D environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and internal controls.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Own manufacturing cost accounting processes including month-end close and cost accuracy.
• Lead cost variance analysis, cost revaluation, and cost control efforts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering on cost drivers.
• Improve processes and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support ERP integrity and scale for new processes.
• Partner with FP&A on forecasts and BOM cost accuracy.
• Prepare schedules and assist with external reporting.
