Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls across a large portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. You will shape governance, platforms, and analytics to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

This role requires deep experience in integrated design-build and digital transformation, with a focus on forecasting, risk management, and performance monitoring across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 15+ years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model; drive adoption across units and regions.
• Establish project controls approaches for design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models; align cost, schedule, risk, and commercial controls.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and schedule controls.
• Develop leading indicators, project health reviews, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data workflows, and AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish scalable standards for document management, data quality, and traceability.
• Collaborate with leadership and delivery teams to improve predictability and client outcomes.
• Lead and develop a geographically distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document control professionals.
