Job summary

Talent With Heart seeks an experienced Software & Applications Manager to guide the development, integration, and support of enterprise business applications in a manufacturing setting. You will lead a diverse team of developers, analysts, product owners, and architects, ensuring solutions deliver value and reliability.

You will partner with IT, OT, and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable technology, set roadmaps, and advance automation, analytics, and secure practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, software engineering, CS, or related field.
• 7–15 years in software development, enterprise applications, or application management.
• Minimum 3 years of IT or software development management leading teams of five or more.
• Software development experience with .NET, JavaScript, or comparable languages.
• Experience managing ERP applications, preferably JD Edwards.
• Experience leading software development using Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Experience implementing secure software development practices.
• Experience collaborating with data science teams on analytics, automation, and related initiatives.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and deliver business-aligned solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software developers, business systems analysts, product owners, and technical architects.
• Oversee the development, enhancement, integration, and support of custom software, .NET applications, ERP systems, and other enterprise business applications.
• Establish team objectives, performance expectations, and development plans.
• Manage departmental budgets, external resources, and technology investments.
• Promote a collaborative, customer-focused culture emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee JD Edwards ERP applications, custom software solutions, system integrations, and related business applications.
• Partner with manufacturing and business leaders to translate requirements into technology solutions.
• Develop application roadmaps and prioritize enhancements based on value and needs.
• Guide software architecture, system integration, and technology selection.
• Collaborate with data science on analytics, automation, and operational initiatives.
• Direct software development using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and manage delivery.
• Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Provide technical direction on complex programming and integration challenges.
• Advance automated testing, DevOps, and CI/CD capabilities.
• Coordinate external vendors to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets.
• Establish KPIs, OKRs, and dashboards to monitor performance and value.
