Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Software & Applications Manager to lead enterprise applications within a manufacturing setting. You will guide a team of developers, analysts, product owners, and engineers to deliver JD Edwards and other ERP solutions, aligning IT with business priorities.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic roadmapping, and collaboration with OT, data science teams, and stakeholders to drive automation, analytics, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7–15 years in software development, enterprise apps, or application management.
• Minimum 3 years IT/software management leading 5+ team members.
• Experience with .NET, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience managing ERP apps, preferably JD Edwards.
• Experience leading Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience secure software development practices.
• Collaboration with data science teams on analytics/automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of software developers, analysts, product owners, and engineers.
• Oversee development, integration, and support of enterprise applications including JD Edwards and ERP systems.
• Set objectives, performance plans, and succession strategies.
• Manage budgets, resources, and technology investments.
• Promote a customer-focused culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop application roadmaps and prioritize enhancements by business value.
• Guide architecture, modernization, and system integration.
• Collaborate with OT and business leaders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Establish KPIs/OKRs and dashboards to measure value and progress.
• Ensure secure development practices and IT security alignment.
• Coordinate external vendors and partners to meet quality/cost/schedule.
