Your Talent Team in United States (Illinois) seeks an experienced Software & Applications Manager to lead development, integration, and support of enterprise business applications. You will manage a team of software developers, business systems analysts, product owners, and technical resources to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

The role partners with IT, OT, business stakeholders, and data science teams to align capabilities with strategic goals and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS, or related field.
7–15 years of experience in software development, enterprise apps, or application management.
Minimum 3 years of IT or software development management experience leading teams of five or more.
Software development experience with .NET, JavaScript, or comparable languages.
Experience managing ERP applications, preferably JD Edwards.
Experience leading software development using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Experience implementing secure software development practices.
Experience collaborating with data science on analytics, automation, and related initiatives.
Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and deliver business‑driving solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop software developers, business systems analysts, product owners, and architects.
Oversee development, integration, and support of ERP and enterprise applications including JD Edwards.
Set objectives, performance expectations, development plans, and succession strategies.
Manage budgets, external resources, and technology investments.
Promote collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee architecture, modernization, and system integrations for enterprise apps.
Direct Agile delivery using Scrum or Kanban; manage schedules, risks, and outcomes.
Provide technical direction on complex programming, integration, and SDLC practices.
Advance automated testing, DevOps, and CI/CD capabilities.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Establish KPIs/OKRs and dashboards to measure value and performance.
