Job summary

Mattel, Inc. is seeking a highly technical Senior Manager of Accounting to oversee accounting for its Digital Games Studios. You will own end-to-end accounting, including revenue recognition policies, close processes, and controls, reporting to the Sr. Director, Accounting.

Ideal candidates have deep U.S. GAAP expertise and experience in digital gaming or interactive entertainment. You will collaborate with Commercial, Legal, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and external partners to evaluate new games,

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work through complex contracts and data flows.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with executive presence to translate accounting concepts for leadership.
• Experience translating technical accounting into repeatable processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and review deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and key estimates.
• Research and document technical accounting conclusions for digital gaming arrangements (ASC 606, ASC 810).
• Partner with Commercial, Legal, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and external partners on new games and monetization models.
• Develop accounting policies and close calendars; drive automation and process improvements.
