Job summary

Activision is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting in Santa Monica to lead complex US GAAP revenue recognition and related policy enforcement. You will partner with FP&A, Legal, and Business Units to assess contracts, new products and initiatives, ensuring accurate disclosures and SOX compliance.

You will guide accounting teams through complex transactions, stay current on accounting pronouncements, and contribute to system implementations and process improvements within the global

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Accounting.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in technical accounting, including public accounting and industry roles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, particularly with revenue recognition, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
• Experience in managing and analyzing large data sets.
• CPA required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions including revenue recognition and non-recurring transactions.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, and Business Units to evaluate products, contracts, and initiatives for accounting implications.
• Assess impact of new accounting pronouncements on current policy and support adoption.
• Provide training to accounting, finance and business teams on accounting standards.
• Support quarterly and annual close processes with timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with revenue and GL teams to ensure proper application of policies.
• Participate in strategic projects like system implementations and M&A due diligence.
