Job summary

Activision Blizzard Inc. in the Santa Monica area is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to strengthen the gaming controllership function. The role focuses on US GAAP compliance, revenue recognition, and new accounting standards for evolving business models.

You will partner with Business Units, FP&A, Legal, and the broader finance team to review arrangements, document accounting treatments, and support the close process. CPA and 8–10 years of experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred or CPA candidate.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry roles.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, revenue recognition, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions, including revenue recognition.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, and business units to evaluate contracts and initiatives for accounting implications.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements affecting gaming and advise on adoption.
• Support quarterly and annual close processes with accurate financial reporting.
• Provide training on new accounting standards to accounting and finance teams.
