Mattel in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting to own end-to-end accounting for digital games. You’ll translate complex guidance into scalable, auditable processes across platforms, products, and data flows.

The ideal candidate has deep U.S. GAAP expertise, 8+ years in digital gaming or high-volume digital revenue, and the ability to mentor a small team while partnering with FP&A, Tax, and Legal. This is a senior, on-site role in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA required.
• 8+ years in accounting including technical accounting and revenue.
• Direct hands-on digital gaming or high-volume digital revenue experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP: ASC 606, ASC 810, licenses & royalties.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital games accounting, month-end close, and reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries, deferred revenue, reconciliations, and estimates.
• Document technical accounting conclusions for complex gaming arrangements.
• Partner with Commercial, Legal, FP&A, Tax and external teams on new games and models.
• Develop policies, memos, close calendars, SOPs, and controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and scalability.
• Mentor 1–2 Senior Financial Analysts; set priorities.
• Explain results to leadership and provide decision-useful insights.
