Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin seeks a Manager VI to lead the Provider Finance Department's data analytics, BI, and web development functions. The role supervises analytic staff, developers, and digital platforms, guiding strategic data initiatives and technology solutions.

The position emphasizes governance, dashboards, and enterprise reporting to support executive decision-making, with a hybrid work arrangement and relocation requirements if coming from outside Texas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Public Administration, MIS or related field.
• Experience leading professional technical staff, analysts, developers, or technology support teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of data analytics, BI, data governance, and information management is essential.
• Experience with web applications development and SharePoint administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
• Provides leadership and oversight for teams responsible for data analytics, web application development, and digital platforms.
• Oversees collection, analysis, validation, and reporting of departmental data to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensures development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, metrics, and analytical tools for performance monitoring.
• Oversees administration and governance of SharePoint sites, intranets, and web content platforms.
