Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin, TX seeks a Manager V to lead the Provider Finance Department’s Local Funding and Payments initiatives, overseeing data reporting, analytics, and funding mechanisms.

You will guide staff, develop policies, review complex financial data, and communicate with executive leadership. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience; hybrid work with on-site twice weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a team lead or 3 years as a financial examiner/analyst.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Medicaid non-federal reporting and data collection.
• Guide staff, provide performance feedback, and supervise personnel.
• Communicate findings to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop schedules, priorities, policies, and program evaluations.
• Support annual Local Funding reporting and on-site monitoring tasks.
