Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. is seeking a Manager, Customer Service in Selah, WA to lead shipping, receiving, and procurement operations. This senior role reports to the Plant Manager and drives safe, cost-efficient processes supporting significant growth.

You will oversee SQF compliance, HACCP/GMP adherence, and a cross-functional team while aligning budgets, forecasts, and supplier relations to meet customer demands and corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Business Operations Management or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of managerial manufacturing experience, including knowledge of production and processing methods, materials handling, quality assurance, and transportation.
• Strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Role in Safe Quality Food (SQF).
• Ensure all SQF guidelines and the SRP Food Safety programs are followed.
• Ensure all salaried staff are properly trained in understanding the Food Safety program and SQF guidelines that apply to their area.
• Work jointly with QA Manager to ensure program training goes out to all employees and that programs are implemented and effective.
• Enforce HACCP and GMP requirements.
• Create a culture that focuses on producing Safe, Quality Food.
• Logistics, Inventory and Customer Management: Manage logistics activities including transportation and warehouse management, customer supply chain management, materials requirements planning, receiving of production materials and supplies, and the flow of finished products to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee purchasing of packaging items, negotiating and executing commercial agreements.
• Ensure transfer of packaging materials to production from warehouses to meet schedule.
• Direct cycle counts and review variances to improve procedures and processes.
• Ensure inventory is accurately recorded in ERP and variances reported.
• Develop understanding of SunRype and company policies and go-to-market strategies.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional team to meet customer service expectations.
• Produce accurate monthly forecasted sales for production.
