Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in technical leadership and/or engineering management.
• Strong hands-on architecture and solution design experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development background.
• Extensive REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations experience.
• Strong cloud experience with AWS.
• Experience with event-driven and distributed architectures.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to lead complex technical programs from architecture/design through execution.
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and modern software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and modernization initiatives.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, APIs, microservices, AWS, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop high-level and low-level designs and ensure successful implementation.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers (approx. 5-7 resources).
• Drive projects and larger technical initiatives from design through production delivery.
• Partner with product, architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee cloud applications using modern AWS architecture patterns.
• Promote microservices, event-driven architecture, reusable services, and API-first design.
• Oversee API and integration design, development, security, and governance.
• Support AI-assisted development tools and AI-powered workflows.
• Champion Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, quality engineering, and observability.
