Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Malware Reverse Engineer to lead complex malware investigations, unpack sophisticated samples, and translate findings into actionable detections. You will support incident response, provide technical quality control, and mentor senior analysts within Accenture Security.

The role requires deep expertise in static/dynamic analysis across Windows and Linux, proficiency with IDA Pro, Ghidra, and scripting in C/C++/Python to enhance tooling and detection

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in malware reverse engineering or related cyber analysis roles.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on static and dynamic malware analysis on Windows and Linux.
• Minimum 6 years using advanced reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra) and 3+ years with debugging tools (x64dbg, Binary Ninja).
• Minimum 5 years analyzing packed/obfuscated malware and bypassing anti-analysis techniques.
• Minimum 4 years working with low-level code (assembly) and 5 years developing tooling in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Minimum 4 years extracting C2 protocols or infrastructure artifacts for threat mapping.
• Minimum 4 years tracking malware behaviors and actor TTPs.
• Minimum 4 years developing detection content (YARA, Snort, Sigma) for SOC teams.
• Minimum 3 years reproducing or assessing publicly disclosed vulnerabilities.
• Minimum 3 years serving as technical quality reviewer for malware analyses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced static and dynamic malware analysis across Windows and Linux.
• Reverse engineer complex/bundled binaries and unpacked samples.
• Reproduce vulnerabilities being operationalized by real-world actors.
• Extract configuration data, artifacts, and C2 logic from malware.
• Map adversary infrastructure and cross-campaign overlaps.
• Translate findings into high-fidelity detection logic for SOC use cases.
• Serve as senior technical reviewer for malware outputs.
• Support incident response and ransomware investigations with rapid triage and deeper analysis.
• Mentor senior analysts and elevate team engineering depth.
• Deliver concise risk-based leadership communications.
