Job summary

MPT Foundation, Inc. in Owings Mills, MD seeks a Managing Director of Major & Planned Giving to devise and execute an annual fundraising plan, personally generating $2,000,000 or more in membership revenues and securing transformational gifts that advance the organization’s priorities.

The role manages a focused portfolio of donors and prospects, leads the Major & Planned Giving team, and partners with the President/CEO and senior volunteers to strengthen the principal-gift pipeline and donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in nonprofit development with direct fundraising.
• Proven track record of soliciting and closing major gifts of at least five figures.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience leading a development team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a strategically qualified portfolio of donors and prospects; identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward six-figure+ commitments.
• Develop donor-centered funding opportunities, proposals, and stewardship plans with program partners.
• Serve as philanthropy strategist and liaison to the President/CEO and senior leaders for targeted outreach and solicitation.
