Travelers seeks a Major Case Specialist in the Strategic Resolution Group to handle complex toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct, environmental and excess claims that present significant financial exposures.

Under general supervision, you will independently manage high frequency and high severity claims, apply advanced knowledge of relevant case law across jurisdictions, and contribute to strategies that resolve cases efficiently while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Authority - Payment and resolution on individual matters up to $500,000. Manage total exposure by claim or account.
• COVERAGE RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS: Research coverage for claims with complex policy issues and prepare recommendations.
• LIABILITY INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS: Investigate claim facts, evaluate damages, and advise on appropriate actions.
• LITIGATION MANAGEMENT: Develop strategic file plans, select counsel, and manage litigation to achieve timely resolutions.
