Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for 1st shift to perform advanced technical support in the maintenance department. The role trains lower-level technicians and ensures reliable equipment, quality standards, and safety compliance on site in North Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs experience or cert with 5+ yrs, or assoc degree with 3+ yrs.
• CMRT or equivalent accreditation desired.
• Plumbing license.
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools: machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools.
• Intermediate MS Windows skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates/edits maintenance job plans.
• Fully proficient in core function, performing advanced level tasks.
• Assist cross-functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within maintenance and site.
• Understands and follows safety and GMP regulations.
