Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support the maintenance department in a GMP pharmaceutical packaging setting. This full-time role operates M-F 6:30 AM–3:00 PM and requires hands-on, senior-level technical skills to maintain assets and train junior technicians.

You will perform advanced maintenance tasks, use diagnostic tools, follow safety and GMP regulations, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or relevant certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. experience
• CMRT or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (diagnostic, predictive) and electrical experience up to 480V is a plus

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie code of conduct and maintain department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards
• Assist in root cause investigation and reliability-centered maintenance
• Capable of training others on tasks and creating/editing maintenance job plans
• Fully proficient in core maintenance function and perform advanced level tasks
• Assist cross-functional teams outside the maintenance organization
• Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives within maintenance and site
• Understand and follow all safety and GMP regulations
