Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL is seeking a senior maintenance technician to independently perform high-level technical support in the maintenance department and train junior technicians. The shift is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

You will maintain department assets, participate in root-cause investigations, and support continuous improvement and safety initiatives across the site, while adhering to safety and GMP regulations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ years of experience, or a relevant certificate with 5+ years, or an associate degree with 3+ years in maintenance.
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie’s code of conduct.
• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
