Job summary

Vivmark Residential in California is seeking a Maintenance Technician II/Painter to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and more, ensuring timely response to service requests and keeping the community in excellent condition.

The role includes assisting in painting interior and exterior surfaces, completing preventative maintenance, maintaining safety practices, and coordinating with residents and team to keep vacant homes rent-ready.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and general maintenance.
• A valid driver's license.
• On-call rotation monthly.
• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to read policies including SDS and PPE.
• Knowledge of PPE and handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and shutoffs.
• Knowledge of paint types and paint tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and painting; ensures timely service requests and repairs.
• Completes assigned service requests and repairs according to standards.
• Ensures vacant apartments are rent-ready in a timely manner; performs turnkey work as required.
• Conducts apartment preventative maintenance.
• Assists in painting both interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintains safety culture by following Vivmark policies and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Performs hot works including brazing, soldering and welding within standards.
