Job summary

AbbVie is hiring a Maintenance Technician III located in North Chicago, Illinois to provide senior-level technical support and maintain the functionality of departmental assets. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience, or an associate’s degree with relevant experience, and be proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines.

This full-time role offers benefits including medical and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience OR relevant certificate with 5+ years experience OR associate’s degree with 3+ years experience.
• Ability to train others on tasks and perform advanced level tasks in core function.
• Understanding of safety and GMP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform senior level technical support within the maintenance department.
• Train lower-level technicians on advanced tasks.
• Maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment.

Skills

Electrical experience with motors, controls, PLCs

Proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines

Knowledge of advanced tools

Education

High school diploma or GED

CMRT or equivalent accreditation
