Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Maintenance Tech III to support 4 day/12 hour rotations (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) in North Chicago, IL. This role requires senior-level maintenance knowledge, trains junior staff, and ensures equipment reliability under GMP guidelines.

The candidate should have a HS diploma with extensive maintenance experience or a technical certificate/associates, plus CMRT accreditation or equivalent. Strong problem solving and tool proficiency are essential for success at AbbVie.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or relevant certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)

• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
• Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
