Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL, is seeking personnel for cGMP manufacturing operations in a biologics production facility. You will work with engineers on set-up and calibration tasks and perform rework and quality testing related to production parts and final materials.

The role uses LIMS, SAP, and automated control systems to collect and evaluate data for on-line adjustments and to help develop methods and procedures to control manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years area-specific relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years area-specific relevant experience preferred.
• Clearly understands the job and applies knowledge to tasks.
• Performs moderately difficult assignments needing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Shipping finished materials.
• Maintaining inventory levels.
• Sampling of in process and raw materials.
• Running glass washer / autoclave.
• Buffer / media preparation.
• Equipment preparation (CIP / SIP).
• Cell culture from vial thaw to production scale.
• Column chromatography.
• Tangential flow filtration.
