Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in North Chicago, IL for the first shift to independently perform high-level maintenance support and to train junior technicians. You will maintain department assets, support root-cause analysis, and develop maintenance plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive reliability and safety.

The role emphasizes GMP compliance and advanced trade capabilities.

Qualifications

HS diploma with 10+ yrs. Experience or Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates degree with 3+ yrs. experience.
CMRT or equivalent accreditation desired.
Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools such as machine tools and diagnostic/predictive tools.
Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).

Responsibilities

Adhere to Abbvie's code of conduct.
Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards.
Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.
Capable of training others on tasks.
Proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates/edits maintenance job plans.
Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
Fully proficient in core function, performing advanced level tasks.
Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or site.
Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.
