Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Union City, CA. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more to keep apartment homes in top condition.

You will handle service requests, ensure rent-ready vacant units, perform preventative maintenance, assist with painting, and uphold a strong safety culture. This full-time position includes on-call rotation and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC repair, Plumbing, Electrical, and General Maintenance work.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to accommodate an on-call schedule in rotation with the team each month.
• Ability to communicate with team members and residents for customer service.
• Ability to read policies and procedures including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Knowledge of PPE and proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and shutoffs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring and more.
• Completes service requests and repairs in line with company standards and timelines.
• Ensures vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance on apartments.
• Assists in painting interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintains a safe work environment following Vivmark safety policies.
• Performs hot works such as brazing, soldering, and welding per standards.
