Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Union City, CA. This role involves diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances to maintain the community’s quality and safety.

You will handle preventative maintenance, respond to service requests, and assist with painting and turnover tasks while coordinating with residents and team members to ensure timely, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to participate in on‑call rotation
• Ability to communicate with residents and team members
• Ability to read policies and SDS/HazCom documentation
• Knowledge of PPE and safe chemical handling
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and shutoffs
• Knowledge of paint types and tools

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances.
• Complete service requests and repairs to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure vacant apartments are rent‑ready promptly; perform turnkey tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety compliance.
• Assist with painting interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Maintain safety culture, report unsafe conditions, and follow policies.
