Job summary

Merck is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician for the VMF unit to provide equipment troubleshooting and maintenance support in aseptic and clean room environments.

This role involves complex maintenance tasks, deviation resolution, and documentation, working within a collaborative team across Production, Quality, and Technical Operations. The position operates on a 12-hour day shift (6:00am–6:30pm) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends and holidays, with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Technical school diploma or associate degree preferred.
• Experience with GMP production equipment and clean room environments.
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance; document work in SAP.
• Support aseptic operations and comply with cGMP, safety regulations.
• Assist with automation, validation, and new equipment installations.
• Work 12-hour day shift and be on-call rotating schedule.
