Job summary

Daybreak Foods in Holland, MI seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform a full range of machinery repairs and preventive maintenance in a busy egg production facility. You will diagnose issues in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems and apply PLC-based controls as needed.

You will collaborate with operators and line mechanics, uphold safety standards, and keep detailed maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Experience performing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic repairs.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with programmable controls and PLC programming.
• Ability to read and implement maintenance specifications.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls.
• Plans and performs work using knowledge of electrical codes and materials.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment per safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Advises operators and line mechanics on operating procedures and safe work practices.
• Informs management and line mechanics of potential problems and hazards.
• Maintains maintenance records for identified equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance as directed.
• Assists maintenance personnel with troubleshooting.
• Assists and trains other maintenance and technical staff.
