Job summary

Daybreak Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its egg production and processing facility. The role involves diagnosing and repairing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring hygiene and safety in food handling areas.

Responsibilities include inspecting machinery, performing repairs, documenting work, and coordinating parts purchases. Experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of safety programs are desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Safety programs and processes (Confined Space, LOTO, Hazcom, Hot Work, Electrical Safety).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access and remove defective parts for repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replace filters.
• Document maintenance and create work orders for tracking.
• Operate boiler and ammonia/glycol refrigeration systems.
• Fabrication and welding as needed for plant repairs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment.
