Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an egg production and processing facility. The role focuses on completing minor to major repairs during non-production and production times to keep equipment running efficiently.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting all work. Experience in food manufacturing and safety compliance is valued, with opportunities for welding and fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent; maintenance certification or experience preferred.
Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
Experience in food manufacturing or processing is highly desirable.
Safety programs such as Confined Space, LOTO, HazCom, Hot Work, Electrical Safety preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
Dismantle machines to access and remove defective parts for repair.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including motors, bearings, belts, fluids, and filters.
Carry out general maintenance like plumbing and electrical work; install new equipment and parts.
Document maintenance work and preventative maintenance records.
