Job summary

Daybreak Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its egg production and processing facility. The role focuses on repairing equipment during non-production and production times, performing preventative maintenance, and documenting all work.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, maintenance certification (or equivalent), and First Aid/CPR certification. Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of GMPs are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Previous maintenance experience is required; food manufacturing experience desirable.
• Knowledge of safety programs (LOTO, HazCom, etc.) is important.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to repair components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Repair electrical systems and electronics including frequency drives/inverters.
• Fabrication and welding as needed for repairs.
• Document maintenance and update preventive maintenance records.
• Operate and maintain boiler and ammonia/glycol refrigeration systems.
• Study production schedules to estimate worker hours for tasks.
