Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring a Maintenance Senior Technician for TAMU College Station, TX. The role requires 5 years of institutional maintenance experience, a journeyman license in a trade, valid driver’s license, and blueprint literacy.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Holds a specialization in one trade as evident by possession of an appropriate Journeyman's license issued by the State.
• Must have one of the following: Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, Journeyman Plumber License, Carpentry, Welding, Steam and Pipefitting, Masonry or Electronic Instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills and repairs across multiple types of equipment.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Leads a group of workers on a project.
• Teaches maintenance skills to other department members.
• Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using company systems.
