Job summary

Compass Group USA through SSC Services for Education is hiring a licensed HVAC technician for a full-time maintenance role at TAMU College Station. The position requires a minimum of five years’ institutional maintenance experience, EPA 608 certification, and a qualifying Journeyman license.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC and related systems, reading blueprints, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with vendors. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Specialization in one trade as evidenced by Journeyman license.
• One of: Journeyman Electrical License; EPA refrigeration certification; Journeyman Plumber License; Carpentry, Welding, Steam & Pipefitting, Masonry or Electronic Instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and models.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or related facilities systems.
• Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills for repairs across multiple equipment types.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Oversees project teams and mentors staff.
• Reviews work and creates punch lists for outside vendors.
