Job summary

SSC Services for Education, a member of Compass Group, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time role at TAMU SA Mn, 1 University Way, San Antonio, TX 78224. You will perform skilled maintenance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC and related systems to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

Qualified candidates will have prior plumbing experience; journeyman licenses and EPA certifications are favored.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade schooling or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of institutional maintenance experience in engineering/maintenance.
• Two years of licensed journeyman experience in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairs and report major problems to supervisor.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Service HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems as needed.
• Lead a project team and supervise workers on site.
• Read and transmit complex instructions clearly in writing and verbally.
• Provide advanced maintenance training to department members.
