Job summary

SSC Services for Education, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Maintenance Senior Technician for a full-time role at TAMU in College Station, TX. The position requires 3 years of maintenance and preventative maintenance experience and offers a pay range of $19.00 to $22.00 per hour.

You will perform skilled electrical and mechanical work, read blueprints, lead project tasks, and support emergency repairs.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Specialization in one trade evidenced by a Journeyman's license.
• Must have one of the following licenses: Journeyman Electrical, EPA refrigerant, Journeyman Plumber, Carpentry, Welding, Steam and Pipefitting, Masonry or Electronic Instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills to repair multiple equipment types.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses HVAC and building systems; sprinkler and signaling systems.
• Leads a group of workers on a project.
• Teaches maintenance skills to other department members.
• Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using company tech systems.
• Oversees fleet maintenance support and related trades.
• Reads blueprints and schedules to plan work layout.
