SSC Services for Education, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Plumbing Maintenance Technician at TAMU College Station. This full-time role requires 1 year of plumbing/maintenance experience, with apprenticeship levels preferred, and pays $20–$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior maintenance and plumbing experience is required; apprentice I-III is preferred.
• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
• Must have one of the following licenses: Master license in one trade or Journeyman Electrical License or Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance functions, with leadership responsibilities.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
