Job summary

Greystar is hiring an Service Technician to maintain property facilities, oversee preventative maintenance, and support make-ready processes for vacant units. The role requires hands-on maintenance, safety adherence, and documentation of work orders.

You will interact with residents and coordinate with contractors as needed to ensure quality and compliance. The position includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification is required.
• State and local certifications as required for technicians.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant apartments, inspections, punch lists, and scheduling.
• Tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests to enable proper documentation and tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing instead of replacing parts and using tools properly.
• Assists in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and report to management.
