Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair property facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality of buildings and common areas. The role covers routine maintenance, resident-request work orders, and preventative tasks to support a high standard of living for residents.

Responsibilities include making-ready vacant units, inspecting for move-ins, managing materials, and assisting with safety and risk management policies.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certification (Type I/II or Universal) is required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate on-property vehicles on site.
• Certifications as required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance per policy and safety standards.
• Execute the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and return items to proper storage; notify supervisor for re-ordering needs.
• Complete service documentation promptly so requests are documented and traceable.
• Support grounds and common areas through cleaning, minor repairs, and painting as needed.
• Contribute to cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
