Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform mechanical and technical work across property buildings, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose issues from resident requests, perform repairs, and help with make-ready tasks for new move-ins.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, adherence to safety standards, and effective coordination with vendors while supporting grounds, common areas, and overall property operations.

Qualifications

• Experience performing general maintenance tasks and repairs following safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose issues based on resident requests.
• Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles on property.
• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (as applicable).
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance to meet property standards.
• Finish the make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendors as needed.
• Track inventory and request re-orders when supplies run low.
• Document service requests accurately for traceability.
• Maintain grounds and common areas and assist with safety compliance.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
