Job summary

Greystar in Seattle is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical condition of our properties meets safety and quality standards. You’ll diagnose and repair issues, complete work orders and make‑readies for new move‑ins, manage supplies, and keep common areas clean and well‑maintained.

Applicants must hold EPA Type 1 and II (or Universal) refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II (or Universal) refrigerant certifications
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by inspecting pre-move-out, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are finished.
• Tracks inventory, procures supplies, and notifies the maintenance supervisor about re-order needs.
• Documents service requests accurately and timely for record-keeping and tracking.
• Assists in groundskeeping and amenity upkeep, including trash pickup, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
