Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in Ashburn, VA to lead troubleshooting and maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. You will ensure safe, compliant operation and deliver excellent service to residents while supporting a preventative maintenance program.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of residential maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA credentials preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in Residential Property Management.
• Team oriented, sociable, assertive, objective, conscientious, tolerant, with attention to detail.
• HVAC, EPA Certification strongly preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and/or Appliance Repair expertise.
• Requires exerting physical effort: lift and move items; push/pull; climb as needed.
• Reliable transportation to respond to after-hours emergencies; nights/weekends on rotation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; computer skills with various software.
• A service mindset and a thirst for learning.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role in troubleshooting and adjusting control systems to ensure daily operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems.
• Maintain property assets as directed with advanced maintenance skills.
• Respond quickly to deficiencies found during preventative maintenance inspections.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians on the Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Deliver excellent customer service and timely follow up with residents and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and fair housing laws.
• Work weekends or evenings and be on call for after-hour emergencies.
