Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across multifamily communities in Houston. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain buildings, grounds, and amenities to meet Greystar standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

This on-site, full-time role requires hands-on skills, tool proficiency, and strong customer service. You will coordinate contractors, support make-ready processes, and help manage budgets while upholding safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications if working on HVAC.
• Valid driver’s license for on-site access.

Responsibilities

• Enter and complete work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance.
• Oversee 'make-ready' process for vacant units and coordinate vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by other team members and contractors for quality control.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
