Job summary

Greystar in Galveston, TX, is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure the property's buildings, grounds, and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operation. You will diagnose and repair resident-initiated service requests and oversee make-ready tasks for vacant units.

Responsibilities include completing preventive maintenance, inspecting work for quality, managing tools and inventory, and supporting budget planning with the Community Manager.

Qualifications

• Customer service and interpersonal communication skills essential.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with basic math for administrative and maintenance tasks.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade preferred.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues from resident work orders.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and inspections.
• Set and maintain standards for cleanliness and curb appeal of grounds and buildings.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools; assist budget planning with manager.
