Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure indoor and outdoor areas meet quality standards for cleanliness, safety, and function across the community.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing routine upkeep, coordinating make-ready inspections, scheduling vendors, maintaining tools and inventory, executing preventative maintenance, and adhering to safety regulations and company policies to deliver a high-quality living environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees and completes make-ready process for vacant units including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by service team members to assess policy effectiveness and plan corrective actions.
• Inspects work by contractors/vendors to verify quality and alignment with specs.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and manages budget for supplies.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Assists Community Manager in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing when feasible.
