Job summary

UniFirst in the United States is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment functions efficiently and to guide maintenance staff in improving processes and ongoing training. The role follows a standard Monday–Friday work week with occasional night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using blueprints, perform corrective actions, supervise shifts, and ensure safety as well as regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow manuals and specifications using a documented schedule.
• Manage and assign maintenance tasks and shifts in the department.
• Oversee compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
