Job summary

Bozzuto is hiring a Maintenance Manager in Florida to lead facilities and residential building maintenance across properties. You will supervise technicians, manage preventive maintenance, and oversee capital improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, deep HVAC and electrical skills, and a commitment to resident services. You will coordinate with vendors, manage budgets, and maintain high-quality service standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience with hiring and developing teams.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Advanced HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair skills.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Experience with central plant, split systems, boilers and chillers.
• Safety-minded and detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Professional appearance and on-call readiness.
• Able to exert physical effort and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto's standards and culture.
• Hire, develop and coach technicians and care associates.
• Respond to resident service requests with timely follow-up and thorough ticket completion.
• Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances.
• Oversee make-ready and turnover processes to enable leasing.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs to protect building value.
• Oversee general upkeep, grounds maintenance and safety compliance.
• Ensure adherence to building codes and safety standards; conduct annual system inspections.
• Lead cost-effective capital improvements and special projects within budget.
• Manage vendor relationships and project delivery.
• Schedule staff and ensure 24/7 emergency coverage.
