Job summary

Bozzuto in Nokomis, FL is seeking a seasoned Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead on-site maintenance teams for residential properties. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs, manage make-readies and turnover, and ensure safety and code compliance while delivering outstanding resident experiences.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in facilities, 3+ years supervisory experience, EPA/NAPE certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience and a track record of hiring, developing and retaining high performing teams.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Advanced skill in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Exposure to complex mechanical systems such as central plant, split systems, boilers and chillers.
• A safety mindset and an eye for detail.
• A builder’s mentality (know it like you built it!).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A sharp professional appearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and various tech platforms.
• Availability for emergency situations including on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs frequently, climb stairs, use ladders, endure varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto culture and values.
• Hire, develop and retain high-performing teams.
• Address resident service requests with timely follow-up.
• Resolve HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Oversee make-ready and apartment turnover processes.
• Manage preventative maintenance and safety/code compliance.
• Establish/vendor relationships and manage projects within budget.
• Coordinate 24/7 emergency coverage and staffing.
